In a major victory for Indian security agencies, the UAE government has seized assets owned by international criminal and the mastermind of the Mumbai serial blasts Dawood Ibrahim worth over Rs 15,000 crores.
The credit for this goes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval. Mr. Doval had accompanied the PM to the UAE and had shared a confidential list of assest owned by Dawood Ibrahim to the UAE government.
Dawood Ibrahim is wanted by the Indian Government for his role in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, which resulted in the death of 257 innocent people and seriously injured over a 1000 people. He is also believed to be involved in other terror attacks, financing of terror activities, money laundering, extortion and many other unlawful businesses.
The United States of America has already designated Dawood as a global terrorist with links to Al Qaeda, Lashkar e Tayiba and other terrorist organizations.
