In UP, Meat vendors on strike against Yogi Adityanath’s restriction

Meat vendors in Uttar Pradesh started an unspecified walkout on Monday protesting the restriction on illegal slaughterhouses.

The scarcity of Non-veg recipes is visible in Uttar Pradesh as illegal butcheries are forced to shut shop under CM Yogi Adityanath government. Most affected areas are western parts of UP. Now weakened meat supply climaxes the fact that former governments in UP were blind on illegal slaughterhouses.


As per Mohamad Khalid, owner Aof l-Nafis dhaba at Dasna said that he never saw extreme scarcity of raw meat in past 35 years since he is in business. The shutdown of illegal butchery has lead loss of Rs 4,000 crore as per the All India Meat and Livestock Exporters Association.

Some 4 automatic plants were shut past week by district administration in UP, these plants were, used butchery and process buffalo meat.
