The Indian Team lost the first T20 played in the series of three matches with England today. Kanpur hosted the first T20 and England humiliated Virat Kohli’s men with a 7 wicket victory.
Englan Captain Eoin Morgan scored his eighth fifty and ledd his team to the victory. He also partnered with Joe Root for the 83-run stand in which Joe Root scored 46 not out. With this easy win, England now leads the series by 1-0 in the three-match series.
Earlier, Indian batsmen failed miserably in front of disciplined English bowling attack. Indian team scored only 147 in the first innings as most batsmen miscalculated their shots. India lost the toss and Morgan asked them to bat first on the Kanpur pitch. Moeen Ali was the top bowler from English side as restricted Indian batsmen and ended his spell with by picking up 2 wickets for 21 runs in four overs.
Former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni was the top scorer from the Indian team with his 36 not out from 27 balls. From Indian bowling side, Yuzvendra Chahal took 2/27 as Virat Kohli’s team tried to put up a fight, but all vain. England dashed the Republic Day celebration of many spectators and Indian Cricket Team with this win.
Moeen Ali was declared the Man of the Match for his spectacular 2 wickets for 21 runs in four overs.
