Newly elected President of US, Donald Trump called Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday night to discuss strong partnership between the two nations and regional security issues. Trump called India a ‘True Friend’ and emphasized on partnering to address the challenging situation of the world.
Donald Trump took oath as the 45th President of US just four days ago and he is been calling world leaders since then. He has spoken with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, Mexican Premier Pena Nieto and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi before dialing to PM Modi. While taking oath Trump discussed “Buy American, Hire American” policy and H-1B visas issue which led to unease in the Indian IT and export industries. However during the election campaign, Trump has been very positive about the relationship between Indian and US.
