India successfully defended the score of 188 to beat Australia at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on the 4th day of 2nd Test to level the series 1-1. Ravichandran Aswin yet again delivered as he picked up six wickets for 41, to become India’s fifth most successful test bowler.
It was a roller coaster ride for every player, it will be unfair to pick out one player for the victory. Ravindra Jadeja(6/63) restricted the lead to 88 runs. Cheteswar Pujara(92) and Aajinkya Rahane(52) added 118 runs for the fifth wicket partnership to take India to a good position. K L Rahul(90 & 51), on a track like this one needs real skills. Ishant Shrama and Umesh Yadav showed their skills to deliver some amazing spell of fast bowling to put Australia under pressur.
A target of 188 would have been an easy one but the way pitch was behaving it was never an easy task. Finally Indian team managed to level the series 1-1 and won the series by 75 runs.
