India has beaten England in the third T20I match played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With the massive 75-run victory over England, India has won the T20I series 2-1. The credit for India’s victory goes to Yuzvendra Chahal who bowled his career best to trigger a sensational collapse of England’s batting side. England lost eight wickets in a span of just 18 balls, and was bowled out at just 127. Chahal registered his career best 6/25, which makes him the first Indian bowler to take five or more wickets in a T20I match. Overall, Chahal’s figures are now the third best in T20Is.
Earlier, India had scored 202/6 with Dhoni and Raina hitting half centuries. Yuvraj Singh also came in to play a small, yet significant part, as he hit three sixes in one over of Chris Jordan. He scored an impressive 27 from just 10 balls. This last moment surge may have put additional pressure on the England side, resulting in their dramatic collapse.
With India clinching the T20I series, it’s a sad day for England, as they stand defeated in all the three series – Test, ODIs and T20Is. It was a long tour for England, but they failed to come up with anything extraordinary to be able to win any of the series.
