In a shocking event of unexplained disappearance of two Sufi clerics from Delhi’s Nizamuddin Dargah who were travelling to Pakistan to visit he famous Data Darbar Sufi Shrine on Wednesday, India has raised serious concerns with Pakistan on this matter.
The Indian High Commission in Islamabad urged the Pakistani government to investigate the matter. It is also believed that the matter was also taken to the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi today.
India strongly raised the matter of disappearance of the two senior clerics — ‘Gadinashin’ Syed Asif Ali Nizami and Nazim Ali Nizami — for the past two days.
Both of senior clerics had travelled to Lahore to visit the famous Data Darbar Sufi Shrine on Wednesday.
High Commission diplomat claimed that one of the clerics was stopped and went missing at Lahore airport while returning to Karachi. The other one went missing from Karachi after he arrived from Lahore by air.
At the Nizamuddin Dargah in Delhi, relatives and other custodians of the famous shrine said that they had not heard from either of the ‘Peerzadas’ since Wednesday. The families of both the clerics have visited the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi to seek help in the case.
