On Tuesday, Harmanpreet Kaur scored eight runs in last two balls to make Indian women’s team win against South Africa by one wicket in the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier final in Colombo.
South Africa who won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers Lizelle Lee and Laura Wolvaardt started with good foundation.
India was chasing modest total of 245 runs, Kaur was left at one end struggling and the baller Poonam Yadav provided her vital support to take the game to the final over but they still required to make nine run from six balls and first delivery of last over, Marcia Letsoalo bowled when Yadav got run out. Kaur unsuccessful to score in following three next deliveries but she finally she could make India win by scoring eight runs in last two balls.
