Experience the leisure of Indian Hospitality amidst an Arabian landscape
New Delhi, August 09, 2018: Conceptualized by Studio Lotus, Dubai’s first licensed restaurant, Masti at La Mer offers a unique concept of Indian-inspired global cuisine. Created as an ideal F&B destination to generate culinary stories around New India, the place reflects the vibe with modern expressions of Indian art, architecture and craftsmanship.
Inhabiting a site that solely accommodates the restaurant; the two-storied beachfront property captures stunning views of the Arabian Gulf and the city skyline. Inspired by its name, Masti – which means fun and mischief in Hindi, the experience is curated to be playful with whimsical elements such as the hand-crafted stained-glass elephant bar, the inlayed marble games tables and quirky graphic prints on the cushions and upholstery, all inspired by the Indian narrative.
Keeping the soul inherently Indian, the destination has a modern and contemporary build that is bold, vibrant and buzzing with energy. With the project clearly defining distinct day and night spaces, the core design approach has created a series of zones that segregate each experience apropos to different times of the day.
Developed using the concept blueprint provided by Hospitality Consultants Meraki & Modus, Masti has emerged as a premium destination within the city and achieved wide acclaim – including winning the Prix Versailles Special Prize for Restaurant Interiors in the Africa and West Asia region; partnered by UNESCO and the International Union of Architects, the Prix Versailles World Architecture Award recognizes exceptional architecture and design for Stores, Hotels and Restaurants. Masti has also been shortlisted for the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards 2018, UK.
