The head of Infosys Americas – Sandeep Dadlani has quit. He joins the list of veterans including David Kennedy, Rajiv Bansal, Sanjay Jalona, Michael Reh, Samson David, Manish Tandon, Ronald Hafner, Anup Upadhyay who had quit leaving the company in trouble.
The resignation is seen as a setback for Vishal Sikka who heads the company now. Dadlani headed the company’s manufacturing,retail and logistics unit which accounted for almost 35% of the IT Major’s revenue.
Dadlani who was with the company since 2001 was elevated to the post of President from the post of Executive Vice President along with 3 others – Ravi Kumar, Mohit Joshi and Rajesh Krishnamurthy only last year and headed another company called EdgeVerve, the Infosys products company and the artificial intelligence platform — Nia.
The reason for his departure is not known or ascertained yet but his post on LinkedIN said he would be getting into “An out-of-the world assignment”.
Sandeep’s position is now been shared by two other infoscions. Karmesh Vaswani has been appointed as the global head of retail, consumer packaging goods (CPG) & logistics and Nitesh Banga has been brought in as global head of manufacturing. The company has also announced the appointment of Inderpreet Sawhney as group general counsel.
