Internshala Trainings launches InnOvaTe Challenge – an IoT Contest

Rapid advancements in the Internet of Things (IoT) technology are taking us towards a smarter future. It is only because of the Internet of Things (IoT) that we are now able to control our home devices like air conditioner, TV, and lights with tap of a finger on our smartphones. To encourage students and young graduates to learn this in-demand skill and make a career in it, Internshala Trainings, has launched InnOvaTe Challenge. The contest will be open until December 25th 2018.

IoT is revolutionising various industries like healthcare, retail, security, and transport. IoT’s potential to bring smarter solutions to problems in diverse industries is resulting in the development of various new segments and jobs to meet the high demand. Some of the popular career options in IoT are Cloud engineering, Industrial engineering, Data Science, IoT product management, and UI/UX engineering.

In this contest, the participants will be given online training and an IoT kit. After the completion of the training, the students will be required to create a project with the guidance of online experts. The projects will be assessed on the basis of functionality and project synopsis. The top 3 contestants with the most innovative projects stand a chance to get cash rewards worth Rs. 60,000/-. Additionally, 2 more contestants will be rewarded with the smart device Google Home Mini.

On the launch of this contest, Sarvesh Agrawal, the founder and CEO of Internshala said, “Through Internshala Trainings, our aim is to help students explore and learn new skills. For the last 8 years, we have been relentless in our pursuit to bridge the skill gap between the students and the industry by providing meaningful opportunities. InnOvaTe Challenge is yet another step towards that.”

“IoT is a future skill and offers immense career opportunities to students. With InnOvaTe, we are encouraging them to learn and build a career in the field of IoT”, he added.
