Madrid, December 21, 2014. The series Invizimals™ has jumped powerfully to the small screen under the aegis of Clan channel, part of TVE, thanks to the support of an audience that has followed it daily, botn online and on TV. Following its premiere on the December 5 and the launch of the new webpage from Clan it has now positioned itself among the three most-seen series on all the digital platforms on RTVE in December. In fact, it’s second on Smart TVs and third most-viewed on the web –rtve.es/infantil- and via apps. Likewise, the series enjoys an ample following on the Clan channel, a quota way higher than the average for the channel: It has achieved a 14.9% average quota for the month so far, per its target objective, with broadcasts that have reached up to 30% of quota (*).
The production, based on the famous PlayStation® videogame of the same name, tells the adventurous story of the young scientist Keni Nakamura and the Alliance of Hunters, and the Invizimals – some mysterious creatures who are invisible to the human eye and now threatened by an army of robots. Besides that, the series is a pioneer in the use of Augmented Reality and trans-media applications that amplify its content by way of second screens – via the free Invizimals™: TV Capture app.
Co-produced by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Screen 21, TVC and TVE, the cartoon series Invizimals™ is also enjoying excellent audience ratings in other countries, such as Greece, where it’s is aired on Star channel and in France, on Gulli. Likewise, it has two TV specials — Invizimals™: The Alliance and Invizimals™: A Tale of Two Dimensions – which also premiered to great success in various countries around the world in December of 2013. And, other outstanding channels, such as Al Jazeera, Disney XD, K2, Multimania, Megamax, SIC, Eleven and Talit, also boast of having the series on their programming charts in various different countries.
The excellent reception by viewers coincides with great product penetration data – licensed Invizimals™ brand products around the world. So, in the current holiday campaign, the brand’s toy is selling briskly in countries such as Spain, Portugal, Greece and Chile.
