Iran fuelling gulf tension

Iran had come to the rescue to Qatar after the ties with the oil rich nation was cut by Saudi,UAE and other Gulf Nations accusing of creating an instability in the Gulf region. Iran said it is planning to send 100 tons of fresh fruit and legumes everyday.
“So far five planes carrying … vegetables have been sent to Qatar, each carrying around 90 tonnes of cargo, while another plane will be sent today,” Iran Air spokesman Shahrokh Noushabadi said. He added further that “We will continue deliveries as long as there is demand.”
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut links with Qatar last Monday. Qatar denied all the allegations floated against it as baseless. Iran on Sunday has deployed 47th flotilla, comprised of an Alborz destroyer and Bushehr logistic warship, set sail from the southern port city of Bandar Abbas
“Today, there is some controlled insecurity in the Gulf of Aden and we have been able to escort over 4,000 oil tankers and cargo ships to the safe regions without any disruption in our plans for oil and non-oil exports and imports,” Naval Commander Rear Admiral Sayyari said.
Despite facing hardships, Qatar said that the 11,000 citizens of those countries residing in Qatar will be allowed to stay in the country.
“The state of Qatar has not taken any steps regarding the inhabitants on its territories, who are the citizens of brotherly and friendly countries which have cut diplomatic relations or downgraded diplomatic representation with the state of Qatar in the wake of biased and hostile campaigns against the state of Qatar,” the government agency said.
