A gruelling incident of gunfire happened at a hotel and a casino resort in the Philippine capital on Thursday night. The Islamic State group quickly claimed the responsibility. Philippines is one of the nation where Muslims are in majority. The gun firing has prompted the police, firetrucks and SWAT team to cordon off the area for the public safety.
‘Resorts World Manila is currently on lockdown following reports of gunfire from unidentified men,’ the company said on its Twitter account.
It is not known at the present moment with regards to the number of casualties and about whether someone has been wounded and also the property damages, if any.
This has sent the people in Philippines to a great shock since they did not witness an incident like this in the recent years and what prompted IS to undertake such a brutal attack is not yet been ascertained.
