Today the Russian military said that Islamic State leader Abu Bakr was killed in an airstrike in Syria which was initiated on 28 May. As per the Russia last month Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had been destroyed and the military was looking for verification if it was IS Chief Abu Bakr.
Further army added that on 28 May Sukhoi warplanes were used for the bombing at a location near Raqa. Near that area, a meeting was operating and IS Chief was present in the meeting. Moreover, Abu Bakr has not been seen in public since then. In the airstrike, some 30 mid-level militant bests and over 300 further combatants were killed.
