Notable actor, theatre artist, and producer- Jay Hunter is the man with all the right moves, quite literally. The man with the luck of gold, has been a success at whatever he’s put his mind to.
Born into a family of mixed-descent, Jay comes from a background of rich culture and heritage. His Italian mother and African-American father explain his perfectly exotic drool-worthiness. The second among five siblings, this 6-foot hunk of chocolate has always been the best role model for those who look up to him. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Westminster college and as a football standout during his college days, Jay made a mark for himself in the Arena Football League, playing for the Rochester based Rochester Brigade, before moving into the world of theatre and acting. An active sportsman, Jay found his passion in numerous outdoor activities like biking, trekking, climbing, lifting and martial arts; all of which later proved to be of great help during his stint as a stuntman.
A role in the ESPN series Play makers marked the beginning of his acting career. After trying his hand at numerous infomercials and theatre pieces under prominent productions, Jay moved on to the world of commercial television and films back in 2005. His most noteworthy works are – Four Brothers (2005) Sentinel (2006),Max Payne (2008), Animal II (2008)and Devil (2010). Hunter has also starred in various TV series, including Nikita (2010), NCIS: LA (2013), The Goldbergs (2015) and Marvel’s Agents of Shield (2017). Recently, he has bagged landmark roles in Tyler Perry’s new series If Loving You Is Wrong (2017) and Acrimony (2018).
