Noida-based man whose 35-year-old wife and 14-year-daughter were gang-raped by road-robbers in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr has warned the UP government that he along with his family would commit suicide if they fail to get justice within 90 days.
“For last 18 years I along with my family members was staying in Noida. I give the police ultimatum of three months to deliver me justice or I would commit suicide along with my family if the administration fails,” said the father of 14-year-old rape victim.
The family along with few other relatives were traveling to Shahjahanpur to attend mourning on Saturday when a gang of road robbers waylaid their vehicle on the National Higway 9.The gang first looted the family of cash and valuables and later dragged the 35-year-old woman and her teenage daughter to the nearby fields, where the duo was gang-raped for at least three hours in front of other family members. The road robbers also brutally thrashed other members when they raised protest.
The duo-rape victims’ relative told the media that the two are traumatized and not in condition to talk.
Narrating the ordeal a relative, victim and eyewitness of the incident told the media that they spared another female relative travelling with them believing her to be an elderly woman.
“I along with other relatives were thrashed when we raised protest and demanded to kill us before committing the heinous crime,” added the victim.
