It’s a dream come true for the fans of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), as the comic book series Justice League has finally made it to the big screen. Fans have been deluged with a plethora of super heroes and their innumerable conquests in the last few years, and now there’s Justice League to delight them in the theaters.
Riding the wave of success created by Wonder Woman earlier this year, Justice League marks the coming together of the superheroes. Aptly describing the core theme of the movie is the tagline ‘You can’t save the world alone’. It’s been a long wait for Justice League, as the movie has been delayed due to various reasons. However, just like its heroes, the movie too has overcome all challenges and now has a date with the audience.
The story begins with the life of various superheroes, as they continue to do their good work. However, each one of them is working independently, which seems okay, but not enough when faced with a powerful enemy. Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) and Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) come to realize that the enemy has already started destroying their planet and they need support to fight it. They decide to team up and recruit various superheroes such as The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). The team appears to be mighty, but it has to fight one of the most formidable adversaries it has ever faced.
Justice League has plenty of action sequences, powered by high-end CGI, to keep you enthralled. The movie is fast-paced and carries all the essential glitz and glamour of superhero movies. The actors share a good chemistry on screen, which really suits the concept of a team of superheroes. Even with popular superheroes such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, the relatively lesser known superheroes such as the Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg have been given meaty and interesting roles to play.
Justice League may have some loose ends and the editing could have been better, but if you are a superhero fan, you should not miss this one. Watching it in 3D would provide for an even higher level of thrill and excitement.
