Kamal gets the backing of MK Stalin

Kamal Hassan who became very vocal in the recent days condemning on bribe culture in Tamilnadu mentioning the state of affairs in TamilNadu is in shatters has received the backing of opposition leader MK Stalin along with few others.

Kamal who is already facing few legal issues with regards to his latest BIG BOSS show which is being aired in a private television channel where even the contestants are facing legal challenges for speaking bad about slum dwelling, women in general etc has mentioned the name of the actor who was allegedly assaulted in Kerala which did not go well with a particular section of people.

After he spoke about the functioning of Tamilnadu Govt in general, he received warning messages from various ministers like D Jayakumar, C Ve Shanmugam, S P Velumani and few other Ministers. Shanmugam said Haasan had no right to question the functioning of the state government. “Haasan has no moral right to comment on people’s life. He was living with a woman he was not even married to,” Shanmugam said, referring to the actor’s previous relationship with actress Gautami. He also said that Kamal Hassan does not have guts when compared to another actor who spoke about being targeted by the ruling Government in a public function.

Stalin, the opposition leader came to the rescue of Kamal Hassan. In a statement, Stalin said, “Tamil Nadu is steeped in corruption. This has been pointed out by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Central Bureau of Investigation, Madras High Court and the Supreme Court”.  He also continued “If legal action were to be initiated based on evidence of corruption in the cancelled R K Nagar elections, horse-trading of MLAs at Koovathur or the Gutkha scam, all ministers will go to jail.”

Other opposition leaders like S Thirunavvukarasar, TN Congress Leader, Thamizhisai Soundarrajan, TN BJP Leader has also supported Kamal Hassan.

Haasan thanked Stalin through a series of tweets on Sunday.
