AAP leader Arvind Kejriwalsparked a row today when he blatantly asked voters to accept money from political parties. While addressing a road show in Punjab, Delhi CM Kejriwal said that the state will have elections on 4 February and every political party will offer money to public. He asked the crowd to accept the money and vote for AAP candidate.
A few days ago Goa poll officers took cognizance of a quite similar remark and informed the Election Commission about it.
On 9 January, Goa chief electoral officer clarified that information about Kejriwalregarding demanding people to accept money to vote has been received and Election Commission of India will take for further action on it.
Kejriwalalso said that if AAP formed comes to power in Punjab, the industries will come back. He will also make sure that locals are given jobs. He also targeted both Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal for corruption.
While taking about the recent incident of shoe attack on Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, The AAP leader declined any allegation about his party’s involvement. He said that the attack was due the public’s anger against the polices of SAD-BJP government.
