As part of the investigations in the Rs 400 crore tanker scam, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today questioned the private secretary of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The allegations about the scam have been made by sacked Delhi minister Kapil Mishra. The ACB had summoned Arvind Kejriwal’s private secretary Bibhav Kumar in association with the case last week. He appeared today at ACB’s office and was asked several questions related to the alleged scam. Kumar was also asked to bring some files related to the alleged scam, which were examined by ACB officials. It may be recalled that the ACB has already recorded the statement of Kapil Mishra in the case.
Mishra has leveled various charges against Kejriwal and the AAP government. Mishra had alleged that the tanker scam was active even at the time when Sheila Dixit was the Chief Minister of Delhi. He accused Kejriwal of continuing with the scam and also shielding Dixit when the ACB was trying to unravel the mystery surrounding the tanker scam. The ACB had examined Dixit in 2016 by asking her to respond to 18 written questions related to the case. Mishra has also alleged that Kejriwal and two of his aides were responsible for influencing and delaying the investigations in the case.
