Kerala government will be maintaining a sex offenders’ register and a comprehensive relief fund for sex crime survivors.
State Governor P. Sathasivam announced scheme in this regard during his customary policy address to the Assembly on Thursday.
He said that sex offenders’ register will be kept in the public domain which will have all the identification details of sex offenders.
The relief fund will be used to help the survivors of sex crimes, children and adults.
Sathasivam also claimed that the government is in process of framing a comprehensive law to cover transparency, accountability and social audit.
In a first of its type, Kerala will also undergo massive reforms to improve ranking in ‘ease of doing business’ and export promotion policy.
He also claimed that recent demonetisation step was the most devastating catastrophes in India’s financial history.
The Opposition leaders have termed the policy address a disappointment and repetition of last year’s address.
