Rashtriya Janta Dal supremo Lalu Prasad credited his wife and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi for the changes in the RSS’s dress code from Khaki shorts to full pants.
“Rabri had pointed out that RSS members lack of decency. She had said elderly cadres freely roam about in half-pants,”said Yadav.
Lalu commented on the following a day after the right-wing organisation bid adieu to the shorts and adopted full pants in its dress.
RSS’s several decade long uniform has been Khaki-color short pants and white shirts.
In a Tweet Yadav had mentioned about Rabri mocking on RSS members on wearing half pants in public and questioned on their knowledge of culture and decency.
Lalu also tweeted that the RSS would be forced to change its current mindset. “Right now, we have forced them to wear trousers… but their thinking also needs a transformation… we will force them to shun weapons and would not allow them to spread venom.”
Rabri Devi in the month of January had to face criticism on Khaki short comment in the month of January. The list of her critcisers include senior top BJP leaders including union ministers.
Bihar’s former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi then had stated, “She is a woman with a mindset of the 19th century.”
