We all know how important is it to maintain good hygiene for your undergarments specifically as they are the primary source of any infection or skin allergy. While one is always advised to wash the undergarments with hands, but in case you are too lazy for that, you must follow a coupe of tips that has to be followed if you want to avoid damaging or shrinking. In case you are going to use a washing machine for cleaning the undergarments, one should always remember to wash on the ‘gentle’ mode only as it will not result is wearing and tearing of the clothes.

- Blood stain:
In case of blood stains on panties, one can use few pinches of salt along with the detergent. The salt will take out all the blood stains as much as possible, and your work will be done in a jiffy. Also remember to use only cold water as it will loosen the fabric strands so that the stain gets out easily. Warm water will only make the blood stick more firmly into the garment.
- Stain removal:
Never put undergarments for cleaning into the washing machine with a stain, as it will only worsen the situation. The stains should be treated at least 30 minutes in advance and let it sit before putting it in the washing machine.
- Hydrogen peroxide: Put few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the water while cleaning. It will help you get rid of sweat stains. Rub a mixture of equal parts dish soap and 3% hydrogen peroxide on the stain and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Drying: Two main things to note here are –
- Never wring your undergarments as they are very delicate and such actions will only damage the fabric, making it loose and worn out
Don’t dry it on a line as it will again affect the elastic band on the waist. It is always best to spread them on a towel under the sun. But one should not even let it sit under the sun fore a long period as it might hamper the colour
