India will have its own Madame Tussauds museum is New Delhi from June 2017. The newly build wax museum of Madame Tussauds will have PM Modi, megastar Amitabh Bachchan and pop star Lady Gaga’s statues at the start in June.
Anshul Jain, General Manager and Director of Merlin Entertainment today had a press conference at New Delhi where he declared the opening date of the museum.
The Madame Tussauds museums are popular for life-size wax status of celebrities around the world and are a famous tourist spot. The June launch event of the museum will be attended by various celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan.
In New Delhi, the Madame Tussauds museum is located at the first and second floors of the Regal Cinema complex in Connaught Place. The New Delhi branch will be the 23rd branch of the world famous museum chain.
Anushul Jain also clarified that it’s not only about the entertainment. The firm also said that the museum shows wax status from all walks of life.
Indian celebrities such as PM Modi, Shah Rukh Kahn, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan etc. are a few popular figures who already have their wax statue at other international branches of Madame Tussauds.
