Newspatrolling: In an effort to save her party men involved in various scam cases such as Sarada, Narada, Trinamool Congress (TMC) head and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a blistering attack against the BJP. At a massive rally in Kolkata, Mamata announced the launch of her own Quit India movement that will be targeted at BJP. Mamata said that the BJP Bharat Chodo (Quit India) campaign will be launched next month and it will be a three-week long campaign. “We will oust BJP from India. It is our challenge. The center is trying to browbeat us with Sarada, Narada cases but we are not afraid of it. None of us is guilty. We will not bow our heads,” Mamata said. “We will launch the movement in every Lok Sabha and assembly constituency, block, city and village. I urge all my ministers, MPs, MLAs and block leaders to take part in the programme.”
The campaign will be launched on August 9, the same day 75 years ago, when Congress had launched the Quit India movement against the British in 1942. Mamata said that 18 political parties have already joined hands against the BJP, which was evident in the Presidential elections wherein 18 political parties had supported Meira Kumar. She said that this is just the beginning and more parties will join this movement in the coming years.
