Maruti Suzuki introduced a new Generation Dzire on Monday. The 3rd Generation Dzire will be launched by the company on May 16. Dzire is one of the company’s most popular cars and now the new Dzire will replace the Old Sedan Swift Dzire. This time the company has removed Swift from its name and it will be known only as Dzire.
The look of the 3rd Generation Dzire is entirely new and it can be said that the company has done a lot of work on the design. It has been designed with hexagonal grill with chrome strips. Front bumper and headlamp cluster have also been given a new makeover.
There is not much change in the rear, though. Tail lamps have also been redesigned. In the new Dzire, LED DRL and new Alloy Wheel have been installed.
The new Dzire has a 1.2 liter petrol engine that gives 83 horsepower and generates 115Nm torque. While the other variant has 1.3 liter multijet diesel engine, which gives 74 horse power and its torque is 190Nm.
Both engines come with AGS units. Petrol engine will be available with 5-speed manual transmission.
There are several upgraded features in the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire which can give tough competition to other cars in this segment. Touchscreen entertainment system, Apple Car Play / Android Auto Bluetooth, USB and Ox support have been provided.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire will be competing with the recently launched Hyundai Xcent Facelift. Apart from this, it will also compete in the market with Tata Tigor, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire and Volkswagen Ameo.
Clearly, it has not been launched yet, so its prices have not been announced. But it is expected that it will come with an initial price of Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom) and its top model can be 9 lakh (Delhi ex-showroom).
