Two masked criminals stabbed a Delhi metro employee and looted Rs 12 lakh from the ticket counter inside Rajendra Nagar metro station on Monday morning.
According to sources in the police department the two masked suspects entered the control room cum ticketing counter around 5:30am.
The masked criminals’ attacked a DMRC employee who was later rushed to the nearest hospital for medical attention. A senior DMRC official said, “The victim’s health is stable.”
Police officials said that the attackers were probably aware of the fact that a large amount of money would be in the counter as banks were closed on Saturday and Sunday.
Both the unknown assailants were wearing surgical mask. Till the report was filed police had failed to zero in the attackers.
The police are examining the CCTV footages of all the cameras placed in and around the metro station.
Rajendra Nagar Metro station is located in Central Delhi and falls on the Blue Line of the DMRC.
