Newspatrolling: The army in Myanmar said that a mass grave has been found in the violence-hit Rakhine state. The army said that the mass grave has bodies of Hindu people. A total of 28 bodies has been discoverd by the Myanmar army. The army officials said that it is most likely to be the work of Muslim Rohingya militants. It may be recalled that the trouble in Myanmar started because the Muslim terror organization, Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), had attacked police and army posts in Myanmar. In the retaliatory action, the Myanmar military targeted the militants, which resulted in the migration of Rohingyas. The UN had earlier described the situation in Myanmar as an example of ethnic cleansing. However, Myanmar has denied such allegations and said that the army action was only targeted at members of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA). Myanmar said that it does not know why so many people are fleeing from the country.
The Myanmar army said that the Hindu people were brutally tortured before they were killed. Hindus and Buddhists living in the Rakhine state have also been affected and now there are allegations that Rohingya militants are targeting them as revenge for the migration of Rohingya people. The mass grave had bodies of 20 women and eight men. Bodies of six children have also been recovered by the Myanmar army. The mass grave was found in a village named Ye Baw Kya, which is close to a concentration of Hindu and Muslim communities in northern Rakhine called Kha Maung Seik. Local people have also reported that Rohingya militants had attacked their villages.
