In a massive fire in the Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) camp office and around 45 shops have been destroyed.
The main market of Bhatyas in Bhalesa area was badly hit in the devastating blaze that broke out late last night.
No human causality has been reported as of now yet property worth crores was reduced to ashes.
Police officials claimed that fire broke out at around 12 midnight in the market of Bhatyas.
Sub- Divisional Police Officer Gandoh Sunny Gupta said that they informed the fire tenders at Thathri and Gandoh simultaneously as Bhatyas market is at the distance of 16 km from both the stations.
The operation to extinguish the fire with the help of locals started at 12:30 am and the fire was controlled only at 5:30 am.
He also said that an investigation has been initiated as this is the third major fire incident in last three months.
