Maze Runner: The Death Cure is the third and final installment of the Maze Runner series. This sci-fi, thriller series has managed to develop quite a bit of cult fan following, as it deals with one of the most hotly debated topics – the purpose of humankind and its survival. The apocalyptic nature of the plot, as depicted in the Maze Runner movie series, has been popular among fans who would always want humanity to survive till eternity. And the Maze Runner movies do not disappoint, as their heroes always come up with something extraordinary to overcome the toughest challenges thrown at them. This being the final part of the Maze Runner series, it is reloaded with plentiful action, adventure and thrills.

The movie catches up with the Gladers — Thomas (Dylan O’Brien), Frypan (Dexter Darden) and Newt (Thomas Brodie-Sangster), who have been again tasked with a seemingly insurmountable mission. One of their friends Minho (Ki Hong Lee) is trapped in the maze and they risk their own lives to save him. They come across various challenges in their way and one of the toughest is the deadly virus Flare that is threatening to wipe out humanity. As they enter the Last City to save their friend, they also inadvertently take up the mission to find a cure for the deadly Flare virus. Will they find the cure and save their friends or will it be the end of humanity?

Being the last installment in the Maze Runner series, the moviemakers have ensured that it has plenty of fast-paced action sequences. Also, the movie meanders through various twists and turns that will keep you thrilled till the end. Last, but not least, the special effects have been lavish, which is best enjoyed in 3D. The screenplay appears a bit chaotic though at times, and you have to focus to connect the dots. All actors have delivered good performances in the movie.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure provides a satisfactory closure to the Maze Runner franchise. If you have had enjoyed the Maze Runner series, you would definitely want to watch this final installment.
