MEA spokesperson Gopal Baglay appointed Joint Secretary in PMO

Baglay is a 1992 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer serving as Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson now appointed as Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Friday.

Baglay will replace Vinay Mohan Kwatra, who has appointed as India’s Ambassador to France.

Consul General of India in Frankfurt (Germany) Raveesh Kumar will replace Gopal Baglay as Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has further approved Baglay’s appointment to the post for three years, an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
