While your baby grows up older you can bring in a complete lot of fresh foods to his or her diet. Milk contains important nutrients, and it can put forward a choice of health benefits. Milk is time and again regarded as being nature’s most absolute food. It is an outstanding source of protein and plenty of vitamins and minerals, mostly calcium. But several children are allergic to cow’s milk or may be sensitive to soy-based products. Hence, here are some milk recipes of food for your child which will help out your child in a better health along with the taste.
Rice Pudding with Lemon: This pudding recipe is ideal for your child. It is a good source of calcium and vitamin B. Ingredients are:
- 25gm pudding rice
- A little ground cinnamon
- 300ml cow’s milk
- 2-3 small strips of lemon peel
- Half to 1 tsp sugar
First, softly heat the rice, milk, and lemon peel together for 25 minutes till the rice is warm and soft. Stir repeatedly. Now add a little sugar if required. Then take out the lemon peel and blend. If you want then give the pudding a dusting of ground cinnamon before serving.
Cream Cheese Khajur: It will complete your baby’s daily calcium requisites. Ingredients are:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 to 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 to 2 dates (khajur) , wet and pureed
- 1 tsp sugar
First boil the milk and keep to one side for 2 to 3 minutes. Now add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and mix with the milk. Now strain the solids with a muslin cloth. Then set the strained cream cheese in a mixer and mix to build a smooth paste. Now let it to cool a little. Now put in the pureed dates and sugar and mix over to a smooth puree. Then serve up instantly.
Dessert of Pear: It has vitamin C and is a fine source of calcium and B vitamins. Ingredients are:
- 1 ripe pear, peeled and sliced
- 1 tbsp apple juice
- 1 tbsp 8 % fat fromage frais
- Bit of cinnamon
First softly boil the pear in the apple juice for five minutes until it became soft. Now let it cool, squash through a strainer and add the fromage frais and flavour. Finally dish up.
Custard of Chocolate and Banana: This dish is full of calcium and B vitamins. Ingredients are:
- 1 tsp corn flour
- 1 tsp drinking chocolate (powder or granules)
- 100ml cow’s milk or formula
- 1 little banana
At first, blend together the corn flour, chocolate powder, and milk. Now heat in a microwave for one minute to two minutes until it gets thickened. On the other hand, heat smoothly on the hotplate, stirring regularly. Chop or squash the banana and serve with the custard.
Custard Coconut Egg: It is a good source of protein and vitamin B2. Ingredients are:
- 1 tbsp apricot puree
- 1 egg
- 100ml reduced-fat canned coconut milk
- 1 or 2 drops of vanilla essence
First mix all the ingredients together. Then tip into two teacups and steam for 10 minutes until set. Now let it chill by serving.
Apricot Dessert: It is a good source of calcium and beta-carotene. Ingredients are:
- 50g mascarpone cheese
- 50g greek yoghurt
- 3 tbsp apricot mash
First mix together the cheese and yoghurt. Then spin in the apricot puree. Now use as a dip for cut grapes, or eat with a spoon.
If your baby has an allergy to milk products then give other high protein foods with the consent of your child’s doctor.
