Four month old Rohaan Sadiq from Lahore, who underwent a heart surgery in India, passed away in Pakistan.
“He died due to diarrhoea. He was down with diarrhoea after his return from India,” said Kamran Farooqui of Pakistan’s Geo TV.
Rohaan’s father Kanwal Sadiq said , ” He is no more. He passed away last night “.
Kanwal Sadiq had appealed to external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj in May seeking a visa to travel to India for the infant’s surgery.
Swaraj said, “The child will not suffer. Please contact Indian High Commission in Pakistan. ”
On June 14th Rohaan underwent heart surgery at Jaypee hospital, Noida.
The baby’s father felt very happy at the successful operation.
On July 18th Rohaan discharged from the hospital and Kanwal Sadiq thanked both Swaraj and doctors.
The parents met Sushma Swaraj on July 21st along with the baby and thanked her.
The minister wished Rohaan `good health and long life’.
After Rohaan went back to Lahore, he suffered from diarrhoea and died on Monday.
