The confusion in Tamilnadu politics still continues with the voters not in a position to decide as to who wields the ultimate power in the party. While EPS and OPS faction have merged and have even met the Governor to announce the same who was kind enough to preside over the change in the cabinet has also received letter of no confidence from TTV Dinakaran’s supporting MLAs.
On top of this, senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP R Vaithilingam has been removed from the party. A letter to this effect has been issued by TTV Dinakaran who advised party cadres to distance themselves from the leader after he wanted the Sasikala clan to be ousted from the party.
Vaithilingam is the supporter of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and is AIADMK’s Thanjavur (South) district secretary but has been removed from all posts including the primary membership, Dinakaran said.
After this news has emerged, the supporters of TTV Dinakaran and Vaithilingam clashed with each other. In another place, Sasikala’s brother Divakaran said that he and his loyalists are recommending the Speaker of Dhanapal to be elevated to the post of the Chief Minister and does not have any problem with the EPS and OPS continuing in the Government.
The opposition leader M K Stalin has written a letter to the Governor of Tamilnadu requesting him to move no confidence motion since the present Govt has lost the majority due to the rebel MLAs sidelining with TTV Dinakaran.
