Today the National Investigation Agency initiated raids in Jammu and Kashmir and India’s capital Delhi in direction of terror funding in which supposedly Hurriyat leaders are involved.
Sharad Kumar, the NIA Chief said that in 21 sites raid was initiated today morning and the raids are supposed to remain to continue till today in midafternoon. He also said that the raids locations include 14 in Kashmir and 7 in Delhi.
According to the sources, the sites are related to people belongs to Hurriyat followers. In the terrorism funding, hawala dealers are expected to act as the medium source.
Chandni Chowk, Greater Kailash are among the location wherein NIA has raided in Delhi.
Further, it is informed that cash of Rs 1.25 crore is already recovered in the raid and location is Kashmir Valley.
NIA had registered a case some couple of days ago in which it was suspected that terror funds supposedly obtained from Pakistan-based terrorist groups like Lashker e Taiba and the money are being used in pebble-pelting and damaging the public property.
