A CBI court on Monday granted bail to Industrialist Naveen Jindal and three other accused in a case related to the Urtan coal scam case.
The other accused include JSPL, vice-chairman and chief executive officer of JSPL Vikrant Gujral, chief advisor Anand Goel, former deputy managing director Sushil Maroo and company’s authorised signatory D.N. Abrol.
The accused have been chargesheeted for offences under Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) and Section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code, 1960.
The CBI had filed charge sheet against Jindal and five others, for allegedly cheating the government by misrepresenting facts to get the Madhya Pradesh based Urtan North coal block.
The case will be heard next on 31 October.
