NCP not yet decided on its support on Gujarat RS Polls

Congress is left on lurch since its alliance National Congress Party(NCP) has not decided yet on its support in the upcoming RS Polls which is due tomorrow. Though there are only 3 seats which is going up with BJP heavy weights, Party President Amit Shah and Smriti Irani set to win 2 out of 3, the other one is up for grabs by any with Congress desperately trying to claim it which has seen the high profile drama of the party seen safeguarding its MLA’s by shifting them to a resort in Karnataka.

The resort was however raided by the Income Tax officials along with few other properties of DK Shivakumar who is the minister in the Government of Karnataka. 

Nationalist Congress Party leader Praful Patel said his party has not decided yet about extending support to any party for the Rajya Sabha polls in Gujarat. The party currently has two legislators – Kandhal Jadeja and Jayant Patel.
Ahmed Patel, who has served four terms already in the Rajya Sabha, is set to meet 44 MLA’s of the party who are currently lodged in Neejanand Resort in Gujarat’s Anand district, located 77 km from Ahmedabad. Patel has already reached the resort and said “We are confident of victory, all MLAs are with us.”
Shaktisinh Gohil said, “All of us are united, BJP can’t threaten any MLA. Horse trading not possible with those who are with us now.”
