The National Highway Builders Federation and the Construction Federation of India alleged that in the RFQ process of the contract, some necessities were custom-made to service some specific participants. The project is Maharashtra’s top infrastructure project and now it has come across the new storm. They showed protested to the bidding procedure to give contracts, as it was tailor-made.
Now they seek PMO’s interference in this direction.
According to the claim of both organizations, at first, MSRDC printed the RFQ for the projects on 2 January 2017, the quarrelsome articles for succeeding bidders were not a part of the document.
On 29 March 2017, the second last date for the bid, request for quotation was canceled and later a new document was printed along with the new terms. Some 40 players raised their participation interest to bid.
