BanGladesh PM Sheikh Hasina visited New Delhi on her four day visit to India on Friday. This is her first ever visit since Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assumed his office. It is believed that the two sides will be signing at least 25 pacts in various key sectors including civil nuclear cooperation and defence. However the most expected Teesta water sharing agreement is unlikely to be inked.
Modi and Hasina, who is staying at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, will hold comprehensive discussions on Saturday. The PM was visited by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj after which the PM had attended the events at the Bangladesh High Commission.
India is also set to announce a line of credit of $500 million (Rs 3,200 crore) to Bangladesh for military supplies.
