North Korea’s latest and biggest nuclear weapons test which has created world wide condemnation making even it’s ally countries like China, Russia to talk against it is ready to send “more gift packages” to the United States, according to one of its top official.
Han Tae Song, ambassador of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the United Nations in Geneva, was addressing the UN-sponsored Conference on Disarmament two days after his country detonated its sixth and largest nuclear test.
“I am proud of saying that just two days ago on the 3rd of September, DPRK successfully carried out a hydrogen bomb test for intercontinental ballistic rocket under its plan for building a strategic nuclear force,” Han said by adding further “The recent self-defence measures by my country, DPRK, are a gift package addressed to none other than the US.”
“The US will receive more gift packages from my country as long as it relies on reckless provocations and futile attempts to put pressure on the DPRK,” he added.
North Korea said it tested a hydrogen bomb designed for a long-range missile and called it a perfect success, sparking world condemnation and promises of tougher sanctions from various countries which has further angered the nation. Though political analysts has spoken against the sanctions saying that these can certainly be addressed via talks, US is very much serious about this where US Secretary of Defence along with US Ambassador to UN, Nikki Haley has given a stern warning to the nation urging all other countries to impose a strict ban.
South Korea and Japan has already conducted war drills. President Putin condemned US action since it imposed ban even on North Korea allied nations like Russia and later turning to them in seeking help to resolve the issue. He termed it as ridiculous.
