Claiming that Hindutva as a way of life and not a religion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that one should adopt the Hindutva as the lifestyle of people and their happiness will be improved.
He said that there is nothing wrong in the idea of a Hindu Rashtra, claiming that the Supreme Court’s 1995 judgement where it ruled that Hindutva was a way of life and not just a religion.
In an interview with Doordarshan, newly elected UP Chief Minister asked his opinion on the remarks of judge Fali Nariman who had asked if the appointment of Yogi as a CM is the beginning of a Hindu state.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that he can not silence anyone and will continue to work for state’s interest. He thanked PM Modi for inspiration and claimed that he is implementing the national level schemes of PM Modi in UP.
He also said that one should not hesitate to adopt Hindutva if it helps in building nation by sustained development for all parts of society and one should not think it as a religion as its a way of life.
