Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) requested to Raveena Tandon, not to promote her upcoming film ‘Maatr’. Raveena is playing a lead role in movie but she has been asked to stop the film promotion as the film’s producer Anjum Rizvi is yet to get his dues for a past project – the remake of Sai Paranjpye’s ‘Katha’.
In an interview with a leading portal,Joint Secretary CINTAA Amit Behl said, ” Khalidji (Dir. ‘Maatr’) had told me about the issue six months ago. At that time, I also learnt of a complaint by Chiranjeet. A non-co-operation notice was issued by CINTAA against Anjum, who promised to clear dues as soon as his next kicks off. “
‘Maatr’ is a revenge story written by Michael Pellico. Raveena will be seen in lead role who is seeking to take revenge from the corrupt system that we live in.
In an Interview Raveena shared your shooting experience and said, ” I have shot this on reel, but believe me I was disturbed for days together. I can only imagine, of the living nightmare that a victim and their family goes through and the brutality they have to face in the real world “.
“Maatr” is slated to release on April 21, 2017.
