On arrival in India, travellers to get free mobile SIM

As per the India’s Ministry of Tourism, travellers will get free SIM cards on an e-visa while they arrive in India. At present, the SIM card is available in Delhi Airport, and this will be started in other 15 airports of the country where the e-visa facility is accessible. The travellers will get pre-loaded talk time of Rs.50 and 50MB internet data in the SIM so that they can use the SIM for their immediate needs.


Mahesh Sharma, tourism minister sprung this Free SIM to travellers to India scheme on 15 February 2017. Further one helpline is already accessible to help tourists in 12 languages in case they need any assistance regarding this scheme.
