Even as most of the world’s leading countries including United States of America (USA) are quite familiar with Pakistan’s role in sponsoring terrorism, Pakistan president Mamnoon Hussain has issued a potentially laughable statement by saying that India is a major obstacle for long-lasting peace in South Asia. Hussain described the Kashmir issue as an unfinished agenda of the partition and said that it is the primary reason for the deteriorating bilateral relations between the two countries. Hussain also talked about the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav, saying that at a time when India should be focusing on peace efforts, it is sending spies to Pakistan. This statement also does not hold any weight since the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has already stayed the death sentence handed to Jadhav by a Pakistani military court.
Experts said that time and again Pakistani political leaders keep issuing such statements, which do not have any real value, except only to fundamentalists and terrorists, who are trying to spread violence in the Kashmir valley. It is a well-known fact that Pakistan harbors some of the most dangerous terrorists within its borders. In recent times, Pakistan has witnessed several bomb blasts, which have been orchestrated by terrorists that were once under Pakistani command, but have now gone rogue.
