The Bihar Police have said that it believes that it has evidence to link Pakistan’s infamous Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) to the Kapur train derailment that led to the death of 140 people in November 2016 and have arrested 3 people who have confessed to being connected to a Nepali citizen who is known to have placed a bomb on the railway track last year on October 1 in the East Champaran District of Bihar. The bomb was fortunately detected by villagers of Ghorasan and this allowed it to be defused and a dangerous situation was averted.
The three men arrested are professional criminals who have been involved in serious criminal activities even in the past. They were paid about s 3 lakhs to help this Nepali national carry out other sinister campaigns. There are two more suspects who are said to be hiding in East Champaran.
East Champaran is a district that has a porus border with Nepal, that allows many criminals to conduct nefarious activities and thrive here. Even Indian Mujahideen’s Chief Yasin Bhatkal was arrested from Raxaul in East Champaran District in August 2013. The probe has now become a multi agency probe with the inclusion of the terror angle.
