When Baba Ramdev announced last year that he is all set to take his company go past beyond Rs.10,000 revenues, not all believed it but the results are out. The company has clocked a turnover of Rs.10,561 crores.
The company is now planning to double the revenue to Rs.21,000 for this fiscal year. Baba Ramdev who is the face of this brand is confident of achieving this due to the increase in sales, customer loyalty and set up of new plants across the country doubling its production capacity from Rs.30,000 crores to Rs.60,000 crores. The plants will be set up in Jammu and Kashmir, Noida, Nagpur and Indore this year, he said.
Patanjali shot to fame when its turnover crossed 5,000 crores pushing back Dabur.
Patanjali Ayurved contributed Rs.9,346 crores and Divya Pharmacy contributed Rs.870 crores. Patanjali’s Desi Ghee generated the revenue of Rs 1,467 crore whereas Dantkanti, its herbal toothpaste brand generated Rs 940 crore.
The company is also planning to double its distributors from 6,000 to 12,000 to achieve the targets of Rs.21,000 crore revenue and is set to become the biggest home gown FMCG company in the next couple of years.
