Pippa Middleton, 33, who is the younger sister of the duchess Kate Middleton, married 41-year-old Mr Matthews at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire yesterday. Matthews is a hedge fund manager. The bride was accompanied by her father, Michael to the church which is just few miles from their family home in Bucklebury.
The bride had worn a custom made gown designed by Giles Deacon which went along with Stephen Jones veil, a Maidenhair Fern tiara, and Manolo Blahnik ivory satin shoes.
There was strict security with villagers being asked to carry ID on the day, and asked not to speak to the press for privacy reasons.
The wedding party included Ms. Middleton’s nephew, Prince George, 3, who served as a pageboy, and her niece, Princess Charlotte, 2, a bridesmaid.
Earlier tennis legend Roger Federer who recently announced his decision to skip the French Open was seen along with his wife Mirka in the event who both looked stunning. When the bride entered the church she received a rousing cheer from around 100 royal fans and residents.
David Emanuel, who designed Princess Diana’s wedding dress called the gown “simple and pretty”
“I predicted it would be soft and pretty and very English, which it is,” he said.
