When you reach there you will be asked to open your footwear’s outside the temple and then you can enter the temple. Nearby the temple there is no availability of fooding you have to travel around 10 kms to foothills of Nandi hills where you will get lots of options for fooding like cafe and small hotels. You can visit this place at anytime of the day as it will not take more then 2-3 hours.
Yoga Nandishwara temple is one more temple and is said to be one of the oldest temple its such a wonderful place to worship it was built by the Cholas. The sculptures beside the temple and cravings done on the wall of temples highlights the features of the temple its architecture is so amazing and is enough to attract the tourists. This temple is known as the house of lord Shiva. Complex of yoga Nandishwara temple is guarded by two dwarpalkas at the main entrance. This centre is also famous among the students as it serves the students as a study centre of architecture and sculpture.
Main attraction at the temple is an inscription of Sambhaji who was son of Chhatrapati Shivaji, the devotees enchants a mantra carved on the wall of the temple and seeks blessing the mantra is ‘Kodi Maram.
Now coming to the next place you can visit at Nandi hills is the fort of Tipu Sultan which is also known as Tashk-e-Jannat which means heavens envy. It is somehow identical to Dariya Daulat, Srirangapatna and this for is situated a top of the hill which height is about 4,851 feet above the sea level. While visiting the fort you can you can see how well it is constructed and the five arches with minarets, it is the beautiful art and architecture of ancient era.
