Grand Slam Baseball’s New Delhi Little League is all set to begin India’s biggest baseball league starting on 5th September. With only a few days to go before first pitch, the tournament already features hundreds of talented young athletes from Delhi’s best local and international schools. In addition, the Play Ball program has sponsored low-income athletes from government schools to take part in the exciting season ahead.
Grand Slam Baseball provides a unique opportunity to share the ball field with players from America, Canada, Korea, France, Greece and Japan; where these kids will not only get an opportunity to hone their baseball skills and learn valuable leadership and teamwork skills, but also a chance to interact with international coaches and compete against players from around the world. Live commentary, world-class equipment and the beautiful US Embassy baseball field are just part of what makes the NDLL India’s complete baseball experience.
The New Delhi Little League season runs from September through February and ends with a playoff series and grand championship game at the end. Each team consists of 9 to 12 players focused on enhancing their baseball skills through weekly practices and fun games every Friday night and all-day Saturday. Grand Slam Baseball is also introducing training for softball in Vasant Valley and other NCR schools and plans to start varsity programs in many schools for kids above the age of 16. With more Indians playing baseball every day, Grand Slam Baseball is committed to creating life-changing opportunities for talented young athletes at home and abroad.
Grand Slam Baseball is a grassroots initiative that organizes local, national, and international baseball tournaments while providing coaching and access to equipment in private and public schools in order to develop baseball talent at the youth level.
